About Sawtell

Sawtell is found on the beautiful North Coast of New South Wales just 6km south of Coffs Harbour. It enjoys Australia's most temperate climate. Sawtell Beach is a long, pristine sandy beach, bounded by beautiful headlands. The magnificent Solitary Islands Marine Park and the nearby Dorrigo National Park make Sawtell a must visit destination. The beach is patrolled and is excellent for swimming, surfing, fishing and walking.

Sawtell Beach House is a short 5 minute walk to the historic, tree lined main street, comprising award winning restaurants and cafes and heritage Cinema. Sawtell has lovely seaside parks for picnics, excellent fishing and kayaking in the estuaries bordering the beach to the north and south. To the south of Sawtell is beautiful Bongil Bongil National Park, with picnic grounds and mountain bike trails along Bonville Creek.

The historic township of Bellingen with its thriving arts & crafts industry, great food and monthly markets is an easy drive, travel another half hour to World Heritage listed Dorrigo National Park for waterfalls, bushwalks and spectacular scenery.

For golfers there is a choice of the local 18 hole, Sawtell Golf Course and the magnificent resort course, Bonville International, is only 10 mins drive south of Sawtell. There are also 12 tennis courts and a 25 metre swimming pool in town.

Qantas and Virgin Blue have several daily direct flights from Sydney, alternatively Sawtell is under 6 hours drive from Sydney.
